‘Telugu is the best among all the languages in the country.’

Telugu language is not only the best but one of the sweetest languages.

Allasani Peddana and Tenali Ramakrishna, the gifted scholars and court poets of Krishnadevaraya, rendered glorious service along with their ruler to the language of Telugu to make it the best language in the country and they themselves earned the status of star poets.

The language of Telugu and the Telugu speaking population were fortunate that during the later years also many gifted and learned Telugu poets continued this legacy and brought more glory to the language.  

‘Avadhanam’ in Telugu is a unique literary concept where a set of invited literary experts demand the ‘Avadhani’, the performer, to solve some unique literary problems using his knowledge of literature and the power of ‘DHARANA’.

The power of DHARANA is the ability of the performer to record everything in mind as you do with pen and paper but without using them. 

At the end of the ‘Avadhanam’ the performer would recollect all the questions raised by the participants, the answers he presented as solutions and render them from memory extempore strictly in chronological order. 

This unique literary phenomenon is widely popular in the literary circles of predominantly Telugu language in India.

The twin poets ‘Tirupathi Venkata Kavulu’, ‘Kopparapu sodarulu’ were few of the most popular AVADHANAM performers in earlier years who brought legendary status to ‘AVADHANAM’.

Brahmasri Vaddaparti Padmakar belongs to that class of gifted, learned, and celebrated scholars who are carrying forward the legacy and celebrated status of this glorious phenomenon called ‘Avadhanam’ in the current era with the blessings of Goddess Saraswathi.

Brahmasri Padmakar dedicated himself to maintaining the sanctity and beauty of the language of Telugu in this era of English oriented education and make it more popular by performing this literary art and imparting training to several students all over the world in AVADHANAM.

He is the literary giant who is the most popular performer of AVADHANAM in Telugu states today.

Born to scholarly parents in a small village in West Godavari district, Brahmasri Padmakar became a proficient scholar in the languages of Telugu, Sanskrit and Hindi at a very young age and began performing AVADHANAMS.  

Apart from educating Telugu language lovers all over the world on traditional social values through his discourses on ’18 Puranas’, he has been spreading the fragrance of Sanathana Dharma and Indian cultural traditions, diligently using Ashtavadhanas, Satavadhanas, Dwisathavadhanas and Sahasravadhanas, the different variants of AVADHANAM (involving 8, 100, 200, 1000 questioners). 

His relentless efforts to Telugu literature through Avadhanam began in December 1992 and he has performed 1255 Ashtavadhanas, 19 Satavadhanas, 1 Trilingual Mahasahasravadhana (in Telugu, Hindi and Sanskrit), 8 Twin Avadhanas and 3 Hindi Ashtavadhanas so far.

He created history in the year 2000 by performing ‘Avadhanam’ in Sanskrit, Telugu and Hindi languages ​in an unprecedented manner and became the only scholar in the country who performed AVADHANAM in three languages.

This unique literary feat earned him the title “Tribhashamahasahasravadhani”.

Brahmasri Vaddiparti Padmakar, who performed 1230 Ashtavadhanas by April 2021, had launched an online based revolutionary event “Sapta Khanda Avadhana Sahithi Jhari” on the auspicious day of Ugadi in the year 2021 intending to spread the highly appreciated and literally intellectual “Avadhana Vidya” in the seven continents and successfully transformed enthusiastic and budding   Telugu poets and scholars all over the world into seasoned performers of AVADHANAM under his eminent guidance through his student disciple, noted Australian Avadhani, “Avadhana Sardaamoorti” Sri Tatavarti Sri Kalyana Chakravarti and Sri Ramachandra Rao Tallapragada, literature lover of USA.

The first ‘Avadhanam’ of this internet based inter continental event “Sapta Khanda Avadhana Sahithi Jhari” was started with the continent of Australia on 29 May 2021. With lot of immigrant Indians residing in Australia, it is a country where Telugu is officially recognized language.

Highlights of “Sapta Khanda Avadhana Sahithi Jhari”

• The first Avadhanam of this event was the 1231st Ashtavadhanam of Brahmasri Padmakar and he solved all the literary questions/puzzles asked by ‘Pruchchakulu’ (the Questioners) in a lesser timeframe of 1 hour 30 minutes.
• The second AVADHANAM of this event was held with participants from New Zealand on 26th June 2021 and it was his 1232nd Ashtavadhanam.
• 1233^rd Ashtavadhanam was performed as part of this intercontinental event on July 31st with ‘Pruchchakulu’ from the country of South Africa that belongs to African continent.
• 1234^th Ashtavadhanam was performed as part of this intercontinental event on 29th August 2021 with ‘Pruchchakulu’ from Europe and Antarctica continents.
• 1235^th Ashtavadhanam was performed on 11th September with ‘Pruchchakulu’ from all over India representing the continent of “Asia”.
• 1236^th Ashtavadhanam was performed on 2nd October with participants from Scotland, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Norway etc. countries representing the continent of Europe.
• 1237th Ashtavadhanam was performedon 6th November 2021 exclusively with women questioners from Malaysia.
• His 1238th Ashtavadhanam was held on December 31st with participants from Qatar representing the Middle East region.
• 1239^th Ashtavadhanam was performed on 15 January 2022 with participants from USA representing the continent of North America. 
• 1240^th Ashtavadhanam was performed with participants from Singapore representing “Asia” continent.
• His 1241^st Ashtavadhanam was held on 4th March 2022 with participants from the Gulf countries Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and United Arab Emirates.
• 1242^nd Ashtavadhanam was held on 3^rd April 2022 in which 8 women literary scholars from Canada and from the country of Peru in “South America” continent participated. 
• With the participants from North and South American continents in 1243 and 1244 Avadhanams, the literary series “Sapta Khanda Avadhana Sahithi Jhari” had successfully and gloriously fulfilled its purpose of holding online based ‘Avadhanam’ with participants from the seven continents across the world. The mission of propagating the art of ‘Avadhanam’ and glorifying this more within Telugu speaking people all over the world, especially in the next generations has been extremely successful.  
• Learned Telugu scholars residing in other countries were awestruck by the unusual Speed, Dhara Suddhi (beautiful poetry on the fly), Dharana Patima (extempore recitation from memory) of Brahmasri Padmakar.
• Many celebrities from the field of cinema, noted politicians and news editors, who were invited to give inaugural speeches during these events, were amazed by his ability to perform literary feats that were never witnessed before.  
• Many spiritual Gurus who participated in this event as guest speakers praised and blessed for launching such an unprecedented event to bring more glory to the art of Avadhanam worldwide and to the language of Telugu in particular. 

Brahmasri Padmakar successfully encouraged and motivated many women enthusiasts all over the world to become part of this revolution of popularizing AVADHANAM, by performing this literary feat exclusively with women questioners (‘Pruchchakulu’).

This was one of the highlights of “Sapta Khanda Avadhana Sahithi Jhari” which was well appreciated by literary experts.

Thus, this revolution of “Sapta Khanda Avadhana Sahithi Jhari” launched by Brahmasri Padmakar had become one of the never done series in the history of ‘Avadhanam’ in Telugu literature. This made the series “Sapta Khanda Avadhana Sahithi Jhari” to earn various world records especially with organizations like “World Book of Records”, “Wonder Book of Records”, “Genius Book of Records” and “Telugu Book of Records”.

The ‘World Book of Records’, apart from recognizing this event, invited Brahmasri Padmakar to Delhi to receive an honor personally. 

The ‘Golden Book of World Records’too recognized this event and honored Brahmasri Padmakar.

Sri Bingi Narendra Goud, rrepresentatives of ‘Wonder Book of Records’, Dr. M. Vijayalakshmi Murusupalli, representative of ‘Genius Book of Records’, Dr. Sai Sri, Chief Adviser from ‘Telugu Book of Records’ and Dr. Sivashankar, Chief coordinator of ‘Telugu Book of Records’ for Eluru Dist., personally visited the premises of ‘Sri Pranava Peetham’, Eluru and honored Brahmasri Vaddiparti Padmakar with certificates and gold medals on behalf of their respective organizations. This event was broadcasted live by media and news agencies around the world.

Many organizations, apart from expressing their gratitude, have also showered appreciations on Brahmasri Vaddiparti Padmakar for involving them in organizing and transmitting this event worldwide.

All these associations joined hands on 29 May 2022 and honored   Brahmasri Padmakar with reverence with the title “Sapta Khanda Avadhana Sarvabhauma” during the valedictory celebrations of “Sapta Khanda Avadhana Jhari”.

It was a divine coincidence that both the opening and closing celebrations of this unprecedented and highly appreciated literary magnum opus “Sapta Khanda Avadhana Jhari” were held on the same date of 29 May of successive years, i.e., 29 May 2021 and 29 May 2022 respectively, with the blessings of Goddess Saraswathi.

Brahmasri Padmakar who practices and preaches Sanatana Dharma in his own inimitable style with beautiful and simple words that are easily understandable by all sections of audience. He also propagates divine philosophy through his spiritual discourses and spreads it through literary programs and poetic works. He also performed two more ‘Ashtavadhanams’ during his spiritual awareness and literary service trip to USA in June 2022. One of these ashtavadhanams was organized by ATA as part of World Telugu Conference and the other one organized by ‘Silicon Andhra’ Association’.

‘Silicon Andhra’ felicitated and honored him with the title ‘Silicon Andhra Bharathi.
